SUCCESS AT GUILDEX
We are very pleased to report that group member Steph Saville was successful at the Guildex Show 2015 gaining 3rd place in the Locomotive section for her model of class 47/4 No. 47840 'North Star' in BR Inter-City livery. This is the first time that a diesel has been placed among the winners at Guildex. Well done Steph!

CLUB LAYOUT
Some changes are taking place!
-
After a number of failures with existing controller, replacements were investigated and following rather lengthy testing of several alternatives we have now decided to install Gaugemaster 2.5amp units.
-
An additional crossover is now in position behind the overbridge to allow access to the down platform from a second track in the storage sidings. This will enable greater flexibility for sequence operation.
-
A new scenic section has mysteriously appeared near the clubroom entrance, created by Jeff Davidson, to give visitors a more inviting first impression of the layout.
We are particularly proud of our Kinchley Lane station buildings (built by David Gibson) which were the winning entry in the 'Scenery' section at the 2013 Guildex show.

LEAMINGTON SPA
